The Matrix Resurrections is a 2021 American sci-fi action film produced, co-written, and directed by Lana Wachowski. In the fourth instalment of the Matrix film franchise, Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss return as Neo and Trinity, set sixty years after The Matrix Revolutions – Thomas Anderson’s (Neo’s) seemingly ordinary life ends when he accepts Morpheus’s offer, only to wake up to a new, more secure and much more dangerous Matrix.

EXO Characters

DI4D supported Double Negative (DNEG) with the facial animation for the ‘EXO’ characters in the film, including EXO-Morpheus. A blend of DI4D animation caches generated from Helmet Mounted Cameras (HMCs) and a fully tricked-out face rig was used.  In addition, DNEG utilised the DI4D caches into their workflow and used them as reference for their own rigs animations.
